Walnut Versailles Marquetry Parquet Versailles-pattern marquetry parquets are among the essential elements of palaces, opera houses, grand galleries and cultural heritage that has stood the test of centuries. The walnut is medium-toned brown, with caramel and ash-coloured veining in places and sometimes amber glints.
Made of oak with smoked oak and brass or steel inlays; some surfaces are treated by sandblasting. Oak panel, birch multi-layer backing, 2 layers, pre-finished 20 mm, top layer 4 mm.
A floor composed of small pieces. The tone, grain line and direction of each piece are arranged together; when light hits the floor, some pieces glow while others stay in shadow, and the space gains depth.
